Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use GymPal?

No. You can use the core app — training plans, workouts, set logging, and progress — without an account. Tap “Continue without account.” Creating a free account backs up your data across devices and unlocks the AI Coach.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

GymPal Pro is billed through your Apple ID. Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → GymPal, where you can change or cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open GymPal, go to the paywall and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

How do I back up my data across devices?

Create an account (Sign in with Apple or Google). Your profile, plan, workouts and progress sync to your account and are restored when you sign in on another device.

How do I reset or delete my data?

In the app go to Profile → Data → Reset all data to clear everything on the device. To permanently delete your account and the data stored on our servers, use Profile → Account → Delete account.

How does location work?

If you save a gym, GymPal checks your location only in the foreground, only when you start a workout, to confirm you're at your gym. There is no background location tracking.

Is GymPal medical advice?

No. GymPal provides general fitness information and AI-generated suggestions for educational purposes only. Consult a qualified professional before starting any exercise program.
